What to consider when planning an engineered stone floor?
Made to measure
Your trade professional will accurately measure the area where your new floor will be fitted to calculate how much is required. These floors are supplied in packs of 12, covering 2.1m2. Each tile can be cut to size to suit specific room sizes and shapes.
Minimal expansion
Where these tiles are not susceptible to fluctuating temperatures, your trade professional will only need to allow for a small expansion gap around the edge. A 4mm gap between the wall and floor is all that is needed for a secure fit.
Go warm underfoot
Underfloor heating is a space-saving alternative to radiators and can offer energy-saving benefits too. Engineered stone is compatible with most underfloor heating systems, making it a great choice when planning underfloor heat in the home.
Underlay included
Each tile comes pre-fitted with underlay, so there is no need to buy additional material to cushion or protect the floor from damp. This underlay is also made from recycled plastics sourced from the ocean - helping to clean up our natural environments.
