Embarking on an elegant kitchen makeover, bridal stylist Stacey Edwards transformed the tired cupboards and crowded layout of her rental property into a luxurious living space. A mum of three who lives in South Wales, Stacey is also a long-term renter who has a close relationship with her landlady. So, when the opportunity arose to plan a new look for the cooking area, she jumped at the chance. Wanting to create a modern aesthetic that complemented the rest of the property, Stacey opted for refined touches and premium features that would last. The result is a clean, contemporary design that will appeal to future renters, while also providing Stacey and her family with all the storage they need.

Stacey’s home was redecorated before her family moved in, with the exception of the cooking space. Dated, dark, and lacking in storage, Stacey wanted the new design to reflect a modern aesthetic.

Stacey is a big fan of the luxe aesthetic, so when designing the room during lockdown, she wanted to bring a touch of five-star style to her home. Gaining extra cupboard space without overcrowding the small floorplan was also essential for this busy family.

Introducing tower and drawer units meant that Stacey boosted storage and reduced clutter from er counter. The white, handleless fronts have modernised the interior while brightening the space.

Selecting a handle-free design enabled Stacey to increase the number of cupboards without overpowering the compact layout. Towers and drawers make the most of space and help the family stay organised. Meanwhile, the crisp white palette extends the contemporary scheme and has created a brighter, more inviting ambience. This also gave Stacey a blank canvas to style up with luxurious features.

Thanks to the ever-popular framed design, the statement interior she has created in her rental property is both on-trend and timeless, so the space will appeal to tenants for many years to come.

Stacey was impressed with the quality and value for money offered by our compact laminate collection, after discovering quartz was too challenging to fit in her compact space. The finish pays homage to interiors of the past and brings a touch of luxury to her design, thanks to the veined pattern. Working with her trade professional, she added a bespoke waterfall effect down the side of her units to accentuate a luxe look.

A lack of storage was one of the main issues with Stacey's existing design and these extra-tall cupboards provided the solution. They have a smaller footprint thanks to the added height, which worked well in Stacey’s compact cooking area. This freed up floorspace for a dining set where she can enjoy meals with the family or socialise with friends.
